DJ Promotion

Challenge: Create artwork for promotional purposes in accordance to the DJ's style using an image they provide

Background Information
Philia is a DJ and producer who primarily performs in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois. Philia has a vibey house sound, similar to ODESZA or Chainsmokers. Philia posts often on social media accounts, and desired original artwork he can use to promote his brand. Philia sent an image from one of his life performances, which I was then able to take and create artwork from.

Design Process
Photo: The photo supplied was from his live performance at the Sofie in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Editing: I edited the photo in Photoshop, using gradients, blurs, and paths to create a wispy smoke look. The image curves and levels were also edited to enhance the colors and bring out contrast. Multiple blend modes and color edits were used.
Color: Philia's brand involved bright neon and pastel colors. I used this knowledge to bring out the neon pinks, yellows, and oranges within this piece.
