Song Lyric Poster

Challenge: Create a display of original lyrics in a creative way.

Product: A vector image that can be changed in dimension according to desired display type

Background Information
These lyrics are from an original song that I wrote this year called "The Jack Song". I wanted to display the lyrics in a way other than a word document or typed out on a notes app. Sharing an engaging image is more beneficial to audience members.

Design Process
Lyrics: The lyrics were written by me (December 2023)
Typography: A "hippie-ish" type face was chosen that could be easily altered to fit together as a puzzle. The flowing edges and thick curves of this type were appealing and fit the feel of the lyrics. I curved all the sharp corner on the type and used a rounded rectangle as a clipping mask to make them all fit within a box.
Numbers: If you look closely at each word, they all have a number assigned. That is the order that the lyrics are sung.

I hope to further this concept and create "lyrical puzzles" where song lyrics are jumbled together randomly in same puzzle fashion. Each will be assigned a number and the viewer then pieces the song together by finding the words in numerical order.
